Crisis Data Graph Project
The increasing interconnectedness of global conflict dynamics is challenging for traditional data analysis approaches, which is optimized for dense, tabular data with few relationships. Graph technology illuminates possibilities for when even sparse data is carefully curated with relationships, rendering a web-like graph that can better handle highly interconnected data.
This technology is already widely used in social networking and many other applications, but it’s uptake in the geopolitical risk space has been slow. To make up this gap, Geopolitica started the Crisis Graph Project in 2024 to better model current geopolitical dynamics and estimate crisis response needs as quickly as possible, or even ahead of time.
Currently we are engaged with ongoing crisis efforts in Ukraine and Gaza, and are looking to expand our reach in the coming year.
